Marathon Day 2015
£2500 Raised for Barts Charity!
On the 26th April, for the third year in a row, we hosted an event to coincide with the London Marathon which takes runners right past our office on Narrow Street. We put on a great spread, handing out complimentary food and drinks all day for all the people watching around Limehouse, screened the live coverage in the office, and put on a whole bunch of games to keep everyone entertained. We certainly had a great time and hope everyone who stopped by did too!
The event was held in association with Barts Charity, and we asked for small donations in exchange for the food and drinks on offer and are extremely pleased to have raised just over £2500 for them! As an East London agent with many of our staff living in East London we think it’s really important to support local institutions, especially those such as Whitechapel hospital which so many of us rely on for great healthcare.
Our Sales Manager Paul Kirby even took part in the race and despite suffering a slight case of the flu, managed to complete the course in a very admirable time of four hours and ten minutes.
We’d like to thank everyone who joined us on the day and donated, as well as a special thanks to Barts Charity for lending a hand with the organising, and an extra special mention to the brass band who played by the lock and contributed their day’s earnings to our charity buckets. Our £2500 total beats last year by more than £1000 and we hope to raise even more in 2016!
